Creating new providers may not improve Maine’s dental health
Posted Jan. 16, 2012, at 4:10 p.m. Maine lawmakers have been told over and over again that the solution to improving access to oral health care is to add new dental providers. They have created independent dental hygienists, public health hygienists and expanded function dental assistants.
